Possibilities are:

He forgot about the site. (created by Me)
Death:
Okay, one thing I have to say, is that this had no common sense used. Cole had no evidence pointing towards this. But, it is still a possibility.
Forgot:
Well, being elderly, he does have the memory loss, most likely. Still a possibility.
